About the Museum:

Historic Ships in Baltimore represent one of the most impressive collections of military vessels in the world. Located within easy walking distance of each other, the US Sloop-of-War Constellation, the US Submarine Torsk, the US Coast Guard Cutter Taney, and the Lightship Chesapeake exhibit life at sea from the mid-19th century to the mid-1980’s.

There is always something happening at the Historic Ships so please check our calendar for the latest programs and events. If you are a teacher or a scout group leader, you may consider signing up for a guided tour or an Overnight Adventure.

My daughter, who’s a tomboy, always has fun at the USS Constellation down at the Inner Harbor. The people on the ship are dressed in costumes so for her she feels like its time travel. The have programs that they run at different times during the day that explain what life was like on the ships. My daughter likes it when the visitors are treated like they work on the ship, too, especially when they light the cannon over the Harbor.

We tried touring the other boats but they’re not as exciting for my 6 year old as the Constellation is.
